7A.      On a request of Juan Silva, applicant, for a variance from Chapter 17.24, Minimum yards, section 17.24.020, general rules, required front yard, Title17, Zoning, Uvalde Municipal Code, he wants a variance of 1325 square feet on the square footage on the property located at 517 Fort Clark Road, NCB 106, Shook Addition, Block 9, Lot 9-A5, City of Uvalde, Uvalde County, Texas.

 

7B.      On a request of Ken Garrett DBA Commercial Light and Signs, applicant, for a variance from Chapter 17.24, Minimum yards, section 17.24.020, general rules, required front yard, Title17, Zoning, Uvalde Municipal Code, to replace the existing sign with an electronic Marquee located at 224 West Main Street, NCB 49, Old Town Addition, Block 3, Lots 37B, 45, 53 and 61, City of Uvalde, Uvalde County, Texas.

 

7C.      On a request of Sergio Porras applicant, for a variance from Chapter 17.24, Minimum yards, section 17.24.020, general rules, required front yard, Title17, Zoning, Uvalde Municipal Code, he needs a variance of four feet in the front of the house to build a porch (already built) and he wants a variance of 16 feet on the Nicholas Street side to install 83 feet of Stainless Steel panel fence four foot high starting from the front edge of the house and running for 16 feet toward Nicholas Street and the turning toward the back of the property located at 532 Geraldine Street, NCB 241, Reagor & Crouell Addition, Block 1, Lot 11, City of Uvalde, Uvalde County, Texas.

 

7D.      On a request of Gottfried and Carleigh Balzer applicants, for a variance from Chapter 17.24, Minimum yards, section 17.24.020, general rules, required front yard, Title17, Zoning, Uvalde Municipal Code, they want to replace an existing chain linked fence with a six-foot high wooden privacy fence proximally 190 feet in length on the Mackenzie Street side of the property starting from the front edge of the house and running for 20 feet toward Mackenzie Street and then turning toward the back of the property located at 300 West Fannin Street, NCB 159, North Uvalde Addition, Block 19, Lot 11, City of Uvalde, Uvalde County, Texas.

8H.      Consider and act on the temporary waiving of daily impoundment fees for the City of Uvalde Animal Pound.

 

8I.        Consider and act on the request of the Uvalde Flight Center to build a new 10,000 square foot hangar adjacent to the existing Public Hangar.

9A.      Discussion by John H. Harrell, City Manager, regarding the delay cost claims that have been filed by EE Hood & Collective Contracting, Inc. in reference to the TXDOT Hwy 83 Project.

10A.    Report by Fred Garza, Chief of Police, on the Racial Profiling record for 2006.

 

10B.    Report by Ricardo Benavides, Uvalde EOC Coordinator, on the status of the Uvalde County Emergency Management Program.

 

10C.    Report by Josh Lasserre, Texas Historical Commission, regarding the Visionaries in Preservation Program.

 

11.       EXECUTIVE SESSION

 

The City Council of the City of Uvalde, Texas will convene in executive session in accordance and for purposes permitted by the Open Meetings Act, Section 551.071 Consultation with Attorney.

 

11A.    Discuss contracts by and between the Texas Department of Transportation and the City of Uvalde relative to the Hwy. 83 Project.
